Have you ever met a guy who has the best of intentions. He is always willing to help and tends to think he can solve any problem or fix anything that’s broken? Well, I am that guy.  I like to make things easier and I like to come up with the solutions to problems. PURPLE COUCH is a solution to a problem that has turned into passion to find solutions.

I was helping a friend with her expanding therapy practice, CONNECT PLAY THERAPY & FAMILY THERAPY. As she was moving into a larger space she had asked me if I could create and install a light switch systems, where the client flips a switch in the lobby and a light goes on in the office letting the therapist know their client is ready. As we spoke more we realized that solution wouldn’t work for her and she asked if I could build something where the therapist gets a text to be notified. I said, “I can build that!” (really I had no idea how to do it) and PURPLE COUCH was born.

I had three conditions if I was going to make this happen,

1) It had to be easy – No complicated interfaces or endless features that cause more confusion than convenience.

​

2) It had to be low cost- I wasn’t interested in building an app for large corporations and charge thousands for licensing fees. I wanted to to be low cost to the end user. I see PURPLE COUCH as a tool to help you build your business.

3) I had to love it- That’s where the name came from. I have a couch that I have had for over 20 years. I love my couch. I can’t stand the idea of ever getting rid of this couch so I haven’t. All my friends know it as, the PURPLE COUCH. That couch has seen a lot of laughter, creativity, tears, hope, family, friends and love. This app invites you to join me and all of those memories on my PURPLE COUCH.
